How a couple learned to delight in God

When burly plumber Brian Stuckings and his wife Vanessa revealed they were doing a three-day Emmaus Walk, people asked if they were in training.

Firstly, I would like to thank all the participants who attended the National Conference in Tamworth. The highlights shared with me included the Friday night session where we heard testimonies of encouragement, the excitement of Face to Face and the Emmaus training that helps consolidate our understanding of this marvellous gift that we share across this great country.

As we have come to the end of the Christmas season and move into the new year, it is great to reflect on God's Son coming to earth as a baby and growing up experiencing the things we experience, like being with friends, helping those in need, dealing with unrest, having compassion but always knowing the will of the Father.

“Everyone dreams, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes to make it happen.”
